Right next door, George's Dock is home throughout the year to an array of festivals and events. Stand out events include the 12 day Christmas market that brings a taste of the German Christmas market to Ireland, and the Dublin Fringe Festival in September, featuring the famous Speigel tent.
Huge development has taken place along the south side of the river too, and it well worth crossing the footbridge and exploring the shops, restaurants and theatre life that has sprung up next to the IFSC.
