Appointment of Mr. Steven Seelig to the Board of National Asset
Management Agency (NAMA)
The Minister for Finance has appointed Mr. Steven Seelig to the
Board of NAMA. Mr. Seelig has been available to provide advice, in a
personal capacity to the NAMA Board since NAMA's establishment in
December 2009.
The Minister stated: "I am delighted to announce the appointment of
Mr. Seelig to the Board of NAMA. It was always the intention that Mr.
Seelig would join the Board once he had retired from the IMF. Given
Mr. Seelig's background and experience I have every confidence that he
is the ideal person to join the NAMA Board and help steer NAMA towards
its goals including restoring stability to the Irish financial system
and improving credit availability.'
