The Strategic Diploma seeks to build and advance on the skillset of individuals practising project management. Many such individuals may be deployed in the "nuts and bolts" of managing individual projects without having the essentials to manage the wider context.

Moving from knowing how to manage a single project, to managing a basket of strategically important projects demands a confidence and understanding that only comes as a result of knowledge and experience.

It has been our experience that many such individuals need reinforcement in the areas such as finance, executive negotiations, strategic leadership, stakeholder management, benefits realisation, programme and portfolio management.

We have studied the profiles of many project managers across many industry sectors and we are in no doubt that there is a considerable talent gap in the afore mentioned areas.

Our aim is to provide the knowledge and its application in a totally pragmatic manner to fill this void via this diploma which delivered by a uniquely qualified faculty familiar with operating at the executive level of organizations. The Institute and our UCC partner have been at the leading edge of project management education, certification and training for almost twenty years.

To attain the Strategic Project Management Diploma participants are assessed in the subject areas on a mixture of case work, presentation, interview and examinations. The emphasis throughout the programme is on the application of knowledge to benefit both the individual and the organisation.

Successful participants will be awarded the Strategic Project Management Diploma and also IPMA Level C Certification.
