Shopping in the IFSC didn't start with CHQ but it is a great place to start. The conversion of the great 19th century merchant warehouse into the CHQ shopping mall has put the IFSC on the map for shoppers and visitors. Here you can browse for gifts or experience what Dublin has to offer in high fashion.
Right next door, George's Dock is home throughout the year to an array of festivals and events. Stand out events include the 12 day Christmas market and the Dublin Fringe Festival in September, featuring the famous Speigel tent.
Huge development has taken place along the south side of the river too, and it well worth crossing the footbridge and exploring the shops, restaurants and theatre life that has sprung up next to the IFSC.
