Informa puts unit up for sale to cut debt

LONDON (Reuters) - British publishing and events group Informa <INF.L> is planning to sell its computer programme management division Robbins-Gioia for 70 million pounds, the Mail on Sunday reported.

The paper said the sale was part of the group's plans to sell off non-core divisions to cut debt.

Informa, which declined to comment on the article, earlier this month announced plans to raise about 242 million pounds in a two-for-five rights issue as it seeks to reduce its debt pile.
