We’re in the IFSC

Giraffe Childcare has two facilities in the (IFSC) International Financial Services Centre. Our Mayor Street crèche has been open for 15 years and is the perfect location for busy professionals working in the area, as the IFSC is just minutes from the city centre, has excellent transport facilities and there is also drop off parking outside for parents.

During their time with us at Giraffe we’ll play our part in helping your child to develop their social skills and gain increasing independence.

Our purpose-designed crèche is based over two floors, with a warm and welcoming feel and we offer a range of opportunities to learn through imaginative and creative play. Our bright and airy activity street overlooks the garden and is divided in to two areas – our sensory area and our messy play area. We also have a wonderful garden in which the children play all year round and they particularly enjoy splashing in the puddles!

We are also located in the National College of Ireland Campus, at the rear side of the National College of Ireland. Again this convenient location  is just minutes from the city centre and has excellent transport facilities with the Luas on our doorstep. Our bright and airy centre has 6 spacious rooms, all colourfully decorated and arranged to offer each child the chance to explore and investigate their environment. There are lots of opportunities to play and enjoy art activities, supporting the children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. We offer a broad curriculum based on Aistear and Siolta frameworks encouraging children to learn the skills that they need to develop to become confident, happy learners.

Both IFSC centres are open all year round from 7.15am to 6.15pm, Monday to Friday except for public holidays. We offer childcare for babies and children up to 5 years and we deliver the free pre-school year (ECCE) to prepare your child for school.

  • First Time Parents

    We know that choosing the right childcare can be a difficult and emotional decision.

  • Babies (6 months to 1 year)

    We understand that choosing a childcare provider can be an emotional and at times difficult step for new parents.

  • Toddlers (2 – 3 years)

    Your child is quickly gaining a new confidence in themselves and also developing a deeper understanding of the world around them. At this age they’re ready for a little more structure and new fun challenges as well as free play and rest periods. As your child discovers their own independence, we encourage and guide them to further develop their confidence, their intellectual, social and emotional development as they explore their environment.

  • Wobblers (12 months to 24 months)

    To you its play, to them it is learning. As a wobbler, your child takes their first steps and really begins to explore the world around them. At Giraffe we’re there every step of the way to support and nurture their natural curiosity. Every day is action packed with exciting child initiated activities designed to nurture their development.
