Overview

An opportunity for company directors to learn more about Board service as a charity trustee in this regulated sector. Our half-day workshop 'Charity Governance' is led by non-profit specialist, Patricia Quinn.

This in-person workshop will take place at the Irish Management Institute (IMI), Sandyford Road, Sandyford, Dublin 16.

Why Should I Book This Workshop? 

Patricia will help participants to: 

  • Understand the legal and regulatory framework for charities in Ireland. 
  • Identify and demonstrate the role and legal responsibilties of charity trustees.
  • Apply key governance priniciples to the leadership of your charity. 
  • Appraise the effectiveness of your charity's governance, including approaches to risk and accountability, through application of appropriate frameworks.

What is the cost?

IoD members - €295

Non-members - €355

The nominal rate for this workshop is designed to prioritise accessibility for directors and trustees on the boards of charities rather than the officers and directors of for-profit entities.

Cancellation and refund policy

Places are confirmed upon full payment. Cancellations with a full refund are accepted in writing to cpd@iodireland.ie until Wednesday, 11th November 2025.  After this date, no refunds are possible, and all fees are forfeited for cancellations or non-attendance.
