The Irishmen: An Impression of Exile forms part of “No Irish Need Apply? The Economic History of the Irish in England”, EPIC’s ongoing special exhibition, developed by the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Before the exhibition wraps, EPIC is hosting a screening of the original documentary, as preserved by the IFI, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

This event includes a special screening of the original film, preserved by the Irish Film Institute, and a discussion featuring:

  • Philippa Donnellan, dance artist & daughter of filmmaker Philip Donnellan
  • Sunniva O’Flynn, Head of Irish Film Programming at the Irish Film Institute
  • Nuala O’Connor, Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker
  • Christopher Kissane, Curator of “No Irish Need Apply?”
