All those involved in the hearing were kept safe by dialing in from separate locations.
The hearing was conducted using their eBrief technology. This enabled them to develop electronic briefs efficiently which were then used by their legal team, the judges and the other party during the appeal.
This saved the printing of over 18,000 pages – the equivalent of a whole tree!
The feedback received from all parties involved leads them to believe that virtual hearings can be utilised successfully.
They are hopeful that the successful use of eBriefs will help virtual hearings become commonplace even after COVID-19.
