Appointment to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman

The Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath, has today announced the appointment of Peter Rossiter to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council for a five-year term.

Commenting on the appointment, Minister McGrath said:

“I am delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Rossiter to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council. 

Peter brings a wealth of experience and expertise in corporate governance and digital finance to the role, having held senior management positions at a number of Irish and overseas financial institutions.

I want to congratulate Peter on his appointment and I wish him all the best for his term.”

Maeve Dineen, Chair of the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council, said:

“We look forward to welcoming Peter onto the Council. Peter’s vast experience ensures our Council expertise continues to reflect an appropriate mix of skills to match the evolving nature of financial services industry.” 

The appointment follows a public call for applications on stateboards.ie and an assessment process.
