NAMA publishes quarterly report for Q3 2023

The latest report (for Quarter 3 2023) has been laid before the Oireachtas and is now available on the NAMA website at the following link:

The report is accompanied by a letter to the Minister for Finance which includes the following information:

Profit for the period January-September 2023: €35 million

  • Total cash generated in the 9-month period: €170 million (with a further €74 million generated between 1 October and 15 December, bringing total cash generated since inception to €47.6 billion)
  • Total lifetime surplus transfers by NAMA to Exchequer of €3.85 billion (€3.5 billion to end September with a subsequent €350 million transfer taking place on 21 December 2023)
  • NAMA’s expected lifetime contribution to the Exchequer, between the projected surplus of €4.5 billion and projected total tax payments of €400m, is €4.9 billion.
  • An update on NAMA’s residential delivery activity (to September 2023) as follows:
    • 34,168 homes delivered - of these, 14,219 homes were delivered directly through NAMA funding and 19,949 delivered indirectly on sites sold by NAMA debtors or refinanced
    • In 2023, 423 new homes were delivered, with a further 440 under construction or have funding approved for construction, subject to commercial viability
  • A summary of NAMA’s activities in the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone.
