Sarah Owen will head up the newly launched business as Director.

Over the past two decades, Robert Walters has launched Walters People in France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. These businesses have all gone on to play a significant role in the Groups revenue.

Louise Campbell, Managing Director of Robert Walters Ireland, comments: “Contracting has always been a popular solution for a number of the multinationals based here in Ireland, but lately we have seen the requirement for contractors increase within the SME sector and also for companies setting up new offices here. Contracting is really a different field of expertise. To make sure we can provide an excellent quality of service both for contracting and graduate level recruitment, as well as mid to senior level specialist recruitment, we need to have a team of dedicated specialists. This is why this is the right time for us to launch Walters People.”

Sarah Owen, who has more than 14 years of experience in recruitment in the UK and Ireland, sees a gap in the Irish market that Walters People can fill: “Clients and candidates expect a high quality service at speed. These are our clear differentiators. We’re in a great position to be able to complement the existing Robert Walters offering and work with the senior hires placed by our colleagues in Robert Walters, to help build out their teams and support functions through Walters People.”

Walters People will initially focus on recruiting for contracting and junior permanent roles in accounting and finance, banking operations and secretarial and business support.
